Wisconsin Bicycling Hall of Fame Collector Cards are here!

Last year the Bike Fed launched the Wisconsin Bicycling Hall of Fame to honor those who have done so much for cycling in our state. Chris Kegel, Otto Wenz, and Phil Van Valkenberg were inducted at a gala dinner last May. You can now see their bicycles and other memorabilia in our recently opened Wisconsin Bicycle Hall of Fame Community Bike Shop, which shares space with Velobahn Coffee & Cycle on the first floor of the Pedal Milwaukee building, 3618 W Pierce Street, below our Milwaukee office.

In addition to cool bikes, jerseys, posters, books and other memorabilia, we have created collector cards for each inductee. The cards are just a fun way of letting everyone know some of the accomplishments of these larger than life friends of cycling. The free cards are small and don’t have room for everything, so you will need to read more about the inductees on the Inductee page of the Hall of Fame.

Our new Wisconsin Bicycling Hall of Fame and community bike shop is open!

The Hall of Fame community bike shop leverages our the success of our Mobile Bike Repair Program on Milwaukee’s south side. We now have a fixed location to do basic repairs in the neighborhoodĀ around our office, which is a bit of a bike shop desert. It also gives us a location to have used bike sales.

Mark your calendars for ourĀ 2019 Wisconsin Bicycling Hall of Fame gala dinner, which will be held Friday, November 2nd at the Harley Davidson Museum’s Garage. Stay tuned for an announcement soon about who will be honored this year.

You can get these fun cards for free when you visit the Wisconsin Bicycling Hall of Fame.
